A Exclusive Wedding at The Manor House, Castle Combe
Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, we had the absolute privilege of designing a celebration that felt nothing short of enchanting, in the picture-perfect village of Castle Combe. This idyllic Cotswold setting became the backdrop for another Planned for Perfection wedding weekend defined by elegance, romance, and intentional detail.
After 14 months of meticulous planning with our beautiful bride, the vision for this magical wedding came to life in the most breathtaking way. From the very beginning, our connection with the couple was something truly special, so much so that they even moved their wedding date to ensure we could plan their Cotswold wedding weekend for them!
An Invitation to Elegance
From the moment guests received their illustrated invitations by Harriet at De Winton Paper Co, the tone was set for a luxurious celebration. Featuring a commissioned painting of the Manor House, a delicate nod to the wedding florals, gold detailing and a custom monogram that would be seen throughout the day’s details, the bespoke stationery offered a first glimpse into the elegant wedding design and unforgettable celebration to come.
The Bride’s Style: Glamour with Heart
The bride is beautiful inside and out, and her natural beauty was complemented by the talented team at Bridemade Artistry. Daniella chose not one, but two stunning wedding dresses - a figure-hugging lace gown from Berta for the day, featuring sheer detailing and the bold, signature elegance that defines Berta’s style, and for the evening, a chic, high-fashion Milla Nova mini dress, with a statement oversized bow on the back. Daniella’s bridesmaid chose a sleek Odd Muse black dress, the perfect blend of classic and contemporary styling, which was perfect for a black tie wedding, and the couple’s children brought a heartfelt warmth to the bridal party, as the flowergirl and pageboy.
Effortless Groom Style
Our groom was the picture of refined sophistication in a custom made Clements and Church crisp white dinner jacket, black tailored trousers and patent shoes. His tailor Freddie created a timeless look, accented by a sharp silk bow tie and a subtle boutonnière (button hole). The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos ensuring Dean stood out with understated drama.
The Ceremony: A Staircase Transformed
For the first time ever, the iconic stone staircase at The Manor House was reimagined into a breathtaking aisle for the bride’s grand entrance. Love Flowers completely transformed the staircase with a breathtaking floral installation that turned the venue’s historic staircase into an unforgettable ceremony setting. It may have been the first time this iconic staircase was ever used for a wedding ceremony, but we’re certain it won’t be the last!
Seasonal blooms cascaded gracefully down the steps, while overflowing urns of flowers framed the space with effortless elegance. Soft white blooms and abundant greenery were intertwined along the bannisters, creating a scene that felt both romantic and timeless. The organic palette of whites and lush greens perfectly complemented the surrounding gardens, adding a sense of freshness and understated luxury to the entire celebration.
Unforgettable Entertainment
Music was woven through every part of the day; from the romantic ceremony sounds of Niche London String Quartet to the surprise entrance of The Juke Joints, a roaming band from ALR Music, who led the newlyweds down the staircase amidst a burst of fireworks by Cotswolds Fireworks. Later, The Juke Joints returned for a lively dinner performance, filling the wedding breakfast with unforgettable dancing for every guest, including grandma!
For the younger guests (and the young at heart!), Elfsitters ensured they were not only well cared for but also completely entertained. Dedicated children’s activities, including a bubbleman, glitter bar, bouncy castle, and ice cream stall added a sense of joy and inclusion, making sure every guest, no matter their age, felt considered and part of the celebration.
A Floral Wonderland DinING EXPERIENCE
The Manor’s Michelin-starred restaurant, was beautifully transformed into a magical indoor forest. Ryan and the Love Flowers team collaborated with us to bring the bride’s vision to life. Florals spilled from the windows, lush greenery enveloped the room, and the tables were covered with delicate blooms and luxury tableware from The Luxe Collection. Chairs from Options Great Hire completed the look, offering understated elegance in every detail and each place setting was curated with refinement and intention, perfectly framed by the stunning floral arch behind the couples sweetheart table and soft candlelight.
A Cake of Dreams
Cake Daydreams designed a spectacular four-tier wedding cake, with each tier offering a different delicious flavour; Victoria sponge with strawberry jam, raspberry and white chocolate, prosecco and passion fruit, and lemon and blueberry. Covered in flawlessly smooth white fondant and wrapped with blousy blooms, the cake perfectly echoed the floral elegance woven throughout the day’s design.
Displayed on a custom stand positioned on the opposite side of the room to the sweetheart table, the cake was every bit a statement piece - as much a work of art as it was a dessert! The bespoke stand, featuring the couple’s monogram and stationery design, added an extra layer of personal detail and sophistication, ensuring this showstopper truly captivated everyone in the room.
The Party: Glamour in Full Bloom
As the sun set, the celebration moved upstairs to The Dunstanville Room, which we transformed into a bold, high-energy party room with dramatic lighting, mirrored accents, and a canopy of greenery and mirror balls. Taking centre stage were the incredible The Sensation Band, whose unmatched charisma and style and had guests dancing into the early hours.
Dream Team
From navigating the unpredictability of the English weather to orchestrating countless moving parts throught the wedding weekend, it was a incredible celebration thanks to an A team of wedding suppliers. Every moment was beautifully captured by a dream trio of creatives: Barker Evans Photography, Ray McShane videographer, and Content Creator Wedding Luxe Socials. Their lenses caught not only the aesthetics, but the emotion, the joy, and the soul of a day that will live on forever in not just the memory of the couple, but for everyone involved!
This wedding was a celebration of love, connection and collaboration. Not only a reflection of the couple’s unique story, it was truly elevated by the passion, artistry and timeless style, all thanks to a great team. With the Cotswolds as its backdrop, this wedding proved that magic really does exist, when you surround yourself with the very best people.
Thank you from the bride
Janey-bob!
Where do I begin? From our very first meeting back in May 2024, I knew you were going to be someone special in my wedding planning journey. What I didn’t know was just how much I would come to care for you.
You’ve been so much more than just a wedding planner you’ve become a friend, someone who’s helped make this whole process feel so much lighter and whole lot more fun. We’ve had the best laughs (I probably over-shared more than I should have!), but your patience and understanding made every detail come together beyond perfectly.
The wedding was nothing short of breath taking, Jane. It was truly the best day of our lives. I know it’s a bit cheesy, but it really was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Don't tell the kids, but it’s a close call between our wedding day and their birth days! (Not close at all, the wedding takes the lead!)
You worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect, (that didn’t go unnoticed!) always just a quick phone call away whenever I needed advice or a random question popped into my head. You always made me feel at ease and so supported every step of the way and you were always there with calm, thoughtful answers to whatever I asked, and I will never forget how you helped carry me through all the little stresses with such kindness.
Thank you for working your magic and ensuring every detail was perfectly executed. We wanted a wedding that would reflect our vision and create an unforgettable experience, and you delivered it all and more, without ever compromising on what mattered most to us (me actually, since my husband had no clue of the magic that we were creating!)
Jane, just so that you know (which I hope you already do), you will always hold a very special place in my heart and I am beyond grateful for you.
Dxxx
Thank you from the groom
