Bruce Oldfield Couture at The Lanesborough

BRUCE OLDFIELD COUTURE AFTERNOON TEA AT THE LANESBOROUGH

Earlier this week, we were invited to an intimate afternoon tea and bridal couture showcase at The Lanseborough hotel in London, to celebrate their exciting new collaboration with renowned designer, Bruce Oldfield, OBE. These two iconic London companies have joined together to offer a new and exclusive service to Brides and guests, who choose to celebrate weddings and parties at The Lanesborough.

This luxurious experience commences with a Champagne afternoon tea in Céleste restaurant at The Lanesborough followed by a visit to Bruce’s famous atelier on Beauchamp Place. Bruce will meet with brides to discuss design ideas for their couture wedding gown and  he will then sketch a bespoke drawing of your dream wedding dress. Bruce is renowned for dressing royalty, celebrities and socialites and as the Lanseborough’s exclusive couturier, he will bring the elegance, refinement and classic tailoring that he is renowned for, to each and every design.

The Belgravia room was beautifully dressed for the afternoon tea showcase, with flowers from London florist Wild About  and a show stopping cake from Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium, both of whom we had the pleasure of working with at The Lanesborough earlier this year for the  Karen Tran Royal London Gala dinner.

After being welcomed with glasses of Tattinger Champagne and a choice of canape sandwiches, we were seated at tables covered in gorgeous pale blue linen from Just for linen and each individual place setting was beautifully decorated with  pastel tableware from Duchess and Butler and dusky pink and gold table stationery from Ruth Kaye Design

Seated on bespoke chairs, designed by Couture chairs, head of events at The Lanesborough, Antoinette Lettieri, chatted to Bruce, who shared stories with guests about his humble beginnings to dressing Diana, Princess of Wales and during the informal interview, models, who were looked after by  hair and make up specialists Botias,  showcased some of Bruce’s Couture wedding dresses.

Following the bridal showcase, we were served the most delicious individual afternoon tea plates, on which was lemon sable, hazelnut delight, pear and vanilla tart, Victoria sponge cake and a raspberry and rose macaroon, served with Lanesbough tea and even more Champagne..
