Wedding Celebrant – Diana from Grace the day

Wedding couple

For couples looking for a truly bespoke ceremony, a celebrant led wedding has become more and more popular over recent years. Whilst wedding celebrants officiate at a wedding ceremony, unfortunately, they are not legally recognised in the UK (yet!)  so you do need to complete the legal documentation (in a quick, simple and formal procedure) ahead of your wedding day.

There are so many reasons why couples choose to hire a celebrant; either they live overseas and legally marry in their home country before their destination wedding in the UK, they do not want a church wedding or a registry office wedding, they find a civil wedding at a venue too restrictive or they simply want a truly unique service that is designed specifically for them.

If you are thinking about choosing a wedding celebrant for your wedding, but you don’t know what to expect or how to choose who is right celebrant for you, a good place to start would be to ask your wedding planner family or friends for personal recommendations. Look at individual websites to see their qualifications and experience, read testimonials from past couples and then we would suggest that you arrange a call with your short list of celebrants to finalise who would be the best to join your team of wedding day suppliers.

We have had the pleasure of working with a wonderful celebrant for many years now - Diana from Grace the day, has created the most unique wedding ceremonies for Planned for Perfection couples at weddings in the UK and overseas,  on numerous occasions. Diana is a friendly and professional celebrant who encourages couples to share all of their hopes and dreams for their perfect wedding day, in order to help her bring them to life in an unforgettable ceremony.

During the preparations for the big day, Diana works with you on all aspects of the ceremony, which includes not only your unique vows to each other, but the choice of music, readings and optional ceremony content, such as Celtic hand-fasting, lighting of remembrance candles, jumping the broom and any other personal touches that you wish to incorporate into the ceremony. For those couples who still want a meaningful, religious ceremony, Diana is also able to include religious music, a bible verse or spiritual reading.

By the time the day itself arrives, even the most anxious couples are able to relax and enjoy their wedding day, knowing that the mutual trust established during the detailed planning and preparations, will ensure a stress free, happy and joyful ceremony. Diana and her team never book more than one wedding each on the same day, so there is never a feeling of having to rush through any part of the service. The whole day is devoted to you as a couple, thus ensuring that everyone stays relaxed throughout the entire day.

Diana describes herself as a facilitator, not a dictator, and she believes that this philosophy enables her to bring a couples’ vision to life for them, which we can certainly vouch for! Many couples have specific requests, but have no idea how they can be incorporated within their ceremony. By sharing these ideas and brainstorming together, Diana can draw on her 10 years of celebrant knowledge and experience, to make suggestions that you might never have even considered! This leads to a truly unique, personal and bespoke service for every couple. Guests will sit up and take notice that, not only is the setting and location of your ceremony beautiful and unique to you and your wedding, so are the words and sentiments expressed within the script.   These enduring memories will stay with you and your guests for a lifetime..

Grace the Day have helped to fulfil many couples dreams over the years and Diana has enjoyed writing ceremonies for hundreds of couples during her ten years as a celebrant, in locations including stately homes, English country gardens, historic castles, on the deck of a super yacht and in a hot air balloon in the skies above an ancient city! Grace the Day are also destination wedding celebrants and have conducted wedding blessings overseas, for UK couples who wish to celebrate with something completely different in another country, under gorgeous blue skies and guaranteed warm sunshine!

We were meant to be working with Diana four times this year in France, the Cotswolds and in London, but due to the pandemic, all of our weddings with her have been moved to 2021. We know how popular Diana is, so don’t hesitate to contact her as soon as possible if you are looking for a celebrant – our couples love her and we know that you will too!
