Wedded Wonderland - London
for Wedded Wonderland UK: A Global Celebration of Creativity, Connection & Luxury
In the world of luxury weddings, collaboration isn’t just important, it’s essential. When visionary minds unite, the extraordinary becomes possible. This year, I had the incredible opportunity to co-direct The Wedded Experience UK alongside my dear friend and Australian Wedding Planner, Alysia Bridger. As Chapter Partners for Wedded Wonderland, we brought a global celebration of creativity, community and luxury wedding design to the heart of London.
Alysia and I first met 7 years ago at a wedding industry event in England, where we bonded over her love for London & my love for Sydney! Since then, we’ve worked together in London & Sydney & drank wine (me!) / cocktails (Alysia!) whenever we are in the same country, so when she asked me to support her & Wedded Wonderland with the launch of The Wedded Network in London, I couldn’t refuse!
Our recent partnership is a testament to what happens when like-minded creatives, who are driven by excellence & a shared passion for designing unforgettable celebrations, come together across continents to create something truly special. Infused with fun, laughter & shared purpose, this collaboration is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through mutual respect, artistry & innovation… & this is only the beginning!
Day 1: The Wedded Wonderland UK Global Launch at The Connaught
The Wedded Experience in London marked a new chapter in luxury wedding networking, uniting top-tier wedding professionals, venues and luxury brands from around the world for a Spring get together in London. This industry networking event was hosted by the iconic Connaught Hotel and celebrated luxury, creativity and connection, showcasing everything from bespoke bridal designs to immersive entertainment; all designed to make any event unforgettable.
The evening was hosted by Alexandra Tarr, with inspiring talks from international wedding industry experts, including Wendy El-Khoury, founder of Wedded Wonderland, Raj Somaiya, Lillian Khallouf, Amie Bone, Philip Khoury, Joseph Hkeik, Milan Thakrar, and James Lord.
In keeping with Wedded Wonderland’s signature style, the evening was also a multi-sensory showcase, with live music from ALR music, poetry from Jen Feroze, illustrations from live event artist Lucy McLoughlin, a showstopping wedding cake by Yevnig Davies, wedding dresses by Lillian Khallouf and an incredible floral display by Amie Bone.
DAY 2: VIP DAY FOR WEDDED WONDERLAND NETWORK PARTNERS
The London experience captured everything the Wedded Network stands for: intimate moments, meaningful connections and experiences that leave a lasting impression.
In the morning, we met at The Connaught and guests were greeted by The Travelling Hands, who started the day with music, singing and so much fun. We explored some iconic London landmarks on a Double Decker London bus and enjoyed a rare and intimate tour led by the fabulous Paul Burrell, former butler to Princess Diana. We visited Kensington Gardens, where we heard deeply personal, profoundly moving and truly unforgettable stories from Paul.
After lunch in Covent Garden, the afternoon saw us visit the Boodles flagship store on Bond Street, one of the most luxurious shopping destinations in the world. Boodles is one of our favourite jewellers, with a vast collection of the most exquisite jewellery. It was an experience usually only shared with couples purchasing their wedding jewellery at this London boutique, where we enjoyed Champagne in the private suite whilst trying on the most beautiful pieces.
It is an honour to be a part of Wedded Wonderland, a global community of creatives redefining the future of weddings in the UK and around the world and it was a joy to plan and host their VIP day in the UK’s captial.
“This isn’t just a UK launch, it’s a global movement starting from London,” said Wendy El-Khoury, Founder of Wedded Wonderland. “With the UK’s unmatched venues, cultural legacy, and creative vision, we are placing British wedding talent on the world stage. Our global platform is built to connect vendors with couples, everywhere.”
