Fusion Wedding in the Cotswolds

Sapna and Joe live in London and chose to celebrate their wedding at one of the most popular wedding and events venues in the Cotswolds. Elmore Court was originally a family home and has beautiful views over the Gloucestershire countryside and the River Severn. It’s a truly unique venue, with a reputation for scrumptious food, delicious wine and for being the host of many epic parties and celebrations!

Their beautiful late Summer wedding was an explosion of colour that reflected the couples individual personalities, their heritage and cultural traditions. We work with our couples closely and aspire to make their wedding day truly unique. We helped this gorgeous couple combine the traditions of their two cultures for the most beautiful fusion wedding in the Cotswolds.

The brief for the wedding day was ‘a fun and relaxed garden wedding combining two religions with bright and beautiful colours’ and it really was the most beautiful celebration…

The day boasted two ceremonies; firstly the legal civil ceremony in the Great Hall, followed by a drinks reception in the gardens  with entertainment from the one and only Gloucestershire Magician.

A Hindu ceremony in the garden followed, underneath a bespoke birch Mandap, designed by Event Stylist Toby Edwards. The Mandap was dressed in gorgeous flowers and now takes pride of place in the couples garden in London for them to enjoy in the Summer months!

Two ceremonies meant two outfits of course! Sapna chose a Needle and Thread wedding dress, with a beautiful beading and a ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ feel.

For the Hindu ceremony, our bride wore a stunning pink and red sari style gown with an intricate pattern, purchased from Onitaa located in Chelsea, with bespoke Indian jewellery from Kyles Collection in London.  For the traditional finishing touches, Sapna’s skin was adjourned with beautiful mehndi body art, with hair and make-up by Diana McDonald.

WEDDING Dresses

Joe looked rather regal in both of his wedding outfits - a three piece suit with plum jacket and trousers and checked waistcoat from Paul Smith for the civil ceremony and the most striking blue, red and gold Sharwani, teamed with gold trousers and blue shoes, all from Cuckoo Fashion in Whitechapel, London.

The spectacular wedding day flowers were the work of The Rose Shed, it was the first time that we have worked with Rachel and she executed the brief perfectly. The colours were amazing; rich reds, pinks and corals with foliage and each part of the day just got bigger and better as wedding guests moved around the venue.

Dinner was served in the famous Gilly Flower, which was built with earth and timber from the grounds of the Elmore estate. It boasts a meadow roof and huge windows and is both sustainable and contemporary- quite stunning.

Sapna and Joe wanted long tables for their wedding breakfast set up and The Rose Shed created an abundance of high and low floral arrangements, paired with gold accessories to create an even more sumptuous feel – Light up table numbers from Lighthaus Events and a BAR sign added an urban touch that the couple loved..

The three tier cake, iced in buttercream and decorated with brightly coloured flower petals, was by Vanilla Pod Bakery and not only did it look amazing covered in edible flowers, it tasted delicious!

The Gilly Flower was designed to host the very best parties and Cheltenham DJ - Deckstar Deluxe ensured that the dance floor was filled until the earlier hours.

The day was captured by both  Matt Willis Photography and Offbeat Films www.offbeatfilms.co.uk and was featured on Love My Dress.
